  • A BIG SHOUT-OUT to our Teaching Staff, Center Coordinators, and EHS Manager for meeting the goal of completing each child’s home visit before enrollment!

From Dr. Barksdale's & Mrs. Wright Desk:

  • Abbeville Head Start: During our Policy Council meeting, a parent expressed heartfelt gratitude for the teachers and their dedication to preparing students for school readiness. She shared that she has already noticed a positive difference in her child.
  • Greenwood Early Head Start: During our Policy Council meeting, a parent gave a heartfelt shout-out to Greenwood EHS for creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for her children. She shared that when she picks up her twins, they are always in great moods and enjoying the activities.
  • Abbeville Head Start Teachers, Teacher Assistants, and Substitutes: Kudos to the teachers for planning structured activities during outdoor time. They engaged students in a guided activity before allowing them to enjoy free play.
  • Classroom A Teaching Team @ Abbeville Head Start: Shout-out to Ms. Paul and the Teaching Team in Classroom A for using transition songs and activities during each transition. Their intentional planning was evident and helped the class transition smoothly and efficiently.

  • Mrs. Chevelle Gilyard: Shout out to Mrs. Gilyard for her continued efforts in keeping the center operating smoothly while navigating some attendance challenges at several locations. Your dedication, flexibility, and continued support of the staff, families, and children are truly appreciated.
